Mab 's Story

Mab is a very sweet cat that loves spending quality time with you. Windows with a view are her favorite, especially if birds come by to say hi. When she gets excited (usually over dinner time) she does this bouncy skipping run which is super adorable. She enjoys her naps but also checks up on her owner to say hi and produces top tier biscuits on a daily basis. If you have a warm lap or cozy nap spot open she’ll be glad to keep it occupied for you.

Mab is small and doesn’t like when other animals get too rambunctious when playing. When things get rowdy she’ll look for high ground to survey the scene. Mab would likely prefer to be on her own or with an older/gentler cat. Once she trusts you, she’ll let you rub her belly! Speaking of her belly, Mab does have a nodule of fat on her belly from a past hernia. Her vet cleared it as just fat and cosmetic, but you may notice it when petting her. Mab loves a good brushing session and will rev the purr engine all throughout. She’s not a picky eater and her favorite toys are feather wands.

Lending Paws A Hand's Adoption Policy
Adoptions are $200 for adult dogs, $275 for puppies (under 5 months), $100 for adult cats, and $175 for kittens (under 5 months). We also have hero pets. These pets are a more desirable breed and their adoption fee is $300. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered (if they are too young an appointment will be made when they become of age). LPAH is a foster based rescue which means our animals are placed in a loving foster home while they wait to find their forever home! If you are interested in applying for any of our adoptable animals, please fill out an application at lpah.org/adoption or via the link on this page and we can set up a time for you to meet your potential new best friend! Because we are foster based, we only adopt out to the states of NC, SC, and VA. Puppies and kittens are a smaller adoption range, as they are required to have remaining vetting prior to adoption finalization. If interested in fostering for us, learn more at lpah.org/foster-for-us
