Lyra's Story
Lyra is a beautiful 1-year-old girl who has come such a long way since arriving at the shelter. ?? As Noir’s sister, she has had a familiar face by her side while she learned that the world isn’t quite as scary as it first seemed.

With time, patience, and plenty of positive experiences, Lyra has blossomed into a playful and beautiful girl. She enjoys the company of her feline roommates and has discovered that human hands can mean something pretty wonderful — gentle pets, comfort, and love.

There’s something especially rewarding about watching a cat learn to trust, and Lyra has shown us just how much she is capable of growing. She’s ready for a home where her confidence can continue to flourish and where she can discover just how wonderful having her own person can be.

If you’re looking for a beautiful girl with a playful spirit and a sweet, developing trust in people, Lyra might just be your girl.

Our cat adoption fee is $110 and includes her spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, age-appropriate vaccinations, and preventatives. You can find our adoption questionnaire at agcshelter.org/adopt-1 or stop in to meet all of our adoptable pets Tuesday–Saturday from 1pm–4pm. No appointment required! Please check our Facebook page before visiting to make sure we do not have any unexpected closures.
