Lydia's Story

LYDIA is a love. She is another "hoarder's car cat" who formally belonged to a homeless man who was driving back & forth from LI to Pennsylvania with his 18 cats living with him in his car.
We have taken 7 of the hoarder's car cats so far from Oyster Bay Shelter.
This was an unbelievable situation right before Christmas.
The man believed he "rescued" these cats & was giving them a better life, but of course, he couldn't afford to feed or take care of them.
(Picture & smell this car in your mind).
Last Hope has been cooperating with
a town shelter for the cats' shelter & care. We paid for their vetting, and are now taking a few at a time from that shelter & putting them up for adoption from our Wantagh Cat Center.
LYDIA is 1 yr old, enjoys petting, is ready for that most important car ride to take her from Last Hope Wantagh Cat Center to a Forever home.

If you are interested in learning more, please email us to adoptions@lasthopeanimalrescue.org
