Lupin and Rose's Story

Lupin (huge polydactyl front paws!) and Rose arrived at their foster home in mid January. They had been on the streets of New Haven, CT and were rescued as baby kittens right before the major winter storm.

Rose and Lupin are a bonded pair. Lupin is a white and orange polydactyl boy. During the day, he likes to sleep in the cat tree cubby, in the cat donut and bird watching with his sister Rose. In the evening, he has entertaining zoomies before settling down next to his foster Dad. Both kitties love to sleep snuggled up to their foster human 🩷 Lupin has a wonderfully loud purr and loves chin scratches and pets. He also likes Churus and will eat a few treats, but his love is toys. It is adorable watching his huge paws bat around pom pom balls, toy mice, and reach for wand toys!

Rose is still a little more reserved than her brother, but only when she first meets you. She definitely loves having her brother for comfort but as you can see in her video she is very loving with her foster human. She is a striking dark tortie who loves Churu. She will eat it from your finger and she likes it when we talk softly to her. She enjoys birdwatching and sleeping in the cat donut with her brother during the day. She has recently discovered cat tv and that has helped engage her in play. Rose will do well in a home where she can blossom in her own time and also receive daily enrichment and bonding. She could be a wonderful lap kitty with patience and nurturing.

These kitties love wet food (and dry food) and are good eaters. They clean themselves well and have great litter box habits. If you are interested in Rose and Lupin, please contact Mary’s Kitty Korner for an application.
