Tiny paws. Soft fur. Big eyes. The kind of kitten people stop to admire. The kind of kitten that makes people smile and say, Look how cute she is!<br/><br/>And she was.<br/><br/>But here is the part we sometimes forget when we fall in love with a kitten:<br/><br/>That tiny kitten is going to grow up.<br/><br/>She will get bigger.<br/>Her paws won't always be tiny.<br/>Her face will change.<br/>The kitten fluff will disappear.<br/><br/>But she will still be the same little life who trusted you from the beginning.<br/><br/>She will still need you.<br/><br/>She will still want to be loved.<br/><br/>She will still deserve a safe home.<br/><br/>A kitten isn't something we get to love only while she's tiny and adorable and then decide she isn't convenient anymore when she grows into a cat.<br/><br/>Cats don't outgrow their need for a family.<br/><br/>Luna, through absolutely no fault of her own, found herself needing to be rehomed.<br/><br/>And suddenly, this little girl who had spent her entire life believing that humans were supposed to care for her was faced with a completely different future.<br/><br/>Thankfully, Pawsitive Hearts was able to say those four beautiful words:<br/><br/>Just one more. <br/><br/>One more cat.<br/><br/>One more chance.<br/><br/>One more life that deserved someone to believe she was worth saving.<br/><br/>And Luna has been making the absolute most of her second chance.<br/><br/>After quarantine and a trip to the vet to get her testing and vaccines up to date, Luna was finally able to experience something she desperately needed:<br/><br/>A home.<br/><br/>Not just a place to stay.<br/><br/>A home.<br/><br/>A place where she is surrounded by love, cuddles, cats of every age, and a big dog who apparently has decided that he is also a cat. <br/><br/>And Luna? She couldn't care less. She's busy living her best life.<br/><br/>She loves wet food.<br/>She loves treats.<br/>She loves playing with cats of all ages.<br/>She loves lounging in the bathtub. <br/>She thinks drinking from the faucet is the only acceptable way to get water. <br/>And she absolutely LOVES stretching out on the screened-in porch and soaking up the summer sunshine. <br/><br/>Watching her enjoy these simple things is a beautiful reminder of just how much a cat can blossom when they finally feel safe.<br/><br/>Soon, Luna will head back to the vet to be spayed. Once she has recovered, she'll be ready to find the family who will make sure she never has to wonder again whether she is wanted.<br/><br/>Because Luna isn't looking for someone who wants a kitten.<br/><br/>She's looking for someone who wants a CAT.<br/><br/>Someone who understands that the tiny kitten you bring home today will someday become the silver tabby curled up beside you tomorrow.<br/><br/>Someone who will love her when she's playful.<br/><br/>Love her when she's mischievous.<br/><br/>Love her when she's grown.<br/><br/>Love her when she's no longer the newest or smallest thing in the house.<br/><br/>Love her for all of her life.<br/><br/>Because Luna's uncertain beginning does not have to become her forever story.<br/><br/>Her story can be about second chances.<br/><br/>It can be about kindness.<br/><br/>It can be about the rescue that said, Just one more.<br/><br/>And it can end with the family who looks at this beautiful silver tabby and says:<br/><br/>You're ours. But they never stop being someones baby. <br/><br/>We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs - double the fun!<br/><br/>Adoption donation is currently $150 per kitten or pair for $250 if under 6 months. 6 months to a year, $125 each or pair for $200. Over a year $100. All cats / kittens have been individually, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, spayed, or neutered, micro chipped, and have received all age-appropriate vaccinations.<br/><br/><br/>PLEASE READ:<br/><br/>- Do not submit inquiries; if interested in a pet please complete the application (link above).<br/>- We are located in Reading, PA and require in-person adoptions; we do not ship pets.<br/>- If your application is approved we will contact you.<br/>- We are all volunteer, and it may take 7 to 10 days to review applications and respond if you are approved; our adoptable pets are in foster care.
