Luke is a PUREBRED CLASSIC SIAMESE and he is bigger boned, with an elongated body and his head has a WIDE wedge shape to it, but is not extreme. This is the second original type to be imported from Siam (Thailand). He has the soft, plush coat his breed is famous for. This boy is looking for a family to dote on him and snuggle. Known for their intelligence, siamese are a communicative and extremely people-oriented breed that thrives on being involved in everything that goes on in their environment. For those who want a close companion, this is your breed. <br/><br/>Luke’s personality is reserved in the beginning and he will start out shy but curious. Once past that initial shyness there is a chatty, deeply affectionate boy who loves to be held. He needs someone patient enough to help him blossom to his fullest potential but the rewards are huge. Once comfortable he PURRS very loudly and falls asleep when being held. Luke is looking for a quiet home, with people home more than away, a kid 13+ that understands feline behavior would be good, but dogs would be a little too much for him. A sweet resident cat is a must or adopting his look-a-like brother would make him happy. He will make never-ending biscuits with kisses, purring and deep meaningful conversation once comfortable in his forever home. A typical siamese in that he will chat with you if you’ve stopped giving attention or he can’t find you. If he can’t find a person to snuggle with, he’ll want to snuggle with a cat buddy and do some mutual grooming. He’s not really into playing at this point and food is nice but other cats and people make him most content.<br/><br/><br/><br/>TRANSITION TIPS<br/>Luke will absolutely need to start out in a "base camp" room, such as a quiet guest room, in a new home while he becomes familiar and comfortable with new people and other pets. He will let you know when he’s, ready to explore more of the home. Please research bringing home a new cat and proper cat introductions — YouTube has many great Jackson Galaxy videos to help. Foster home will collaborate via phone to help them acclimate. Please have patience during what could be a longer acclimation period.<br/><br/><br/>CARE REQUIREMENTS<br/>* Feeding & water: 4Health Pate, Open High Protein Kibble and he enjoy’s the moving water of a ceramic water fountain.<br/>* Litter: Open-style boxes with unscented PetSmart clumping Grass Seed Litter (one box per cat, plus one extra).<br/>* Grooming: Combing / slicker once a week and a monthly nail trim.<br/><br/><br/>VETTING PROVIDED<br/>Exam, neutered, tested negative for FELV/FIV & heartworm, FVRCP and rabies vaccinated, and microchipped. Medical records are supplied at adoption completion.<br/><br/><br/>LOCATION AND ADOPTION<br/>Fostered in Valparaiso, Indiana (45 min from Chicago and SW Michigan, 2 hours from Wisconsin, Iowa & Ohio).<br/>Adoption fee is $500.00.<br/><br/>Could your home be the perfect match?
