Lucy's Story

Meet Lucy – A Shy Girl with a Big Heart

Lucy may be a little guarded at first, but once you offer her some gentle TLC, she simply melts in your arms.

She’s shy during new introductions and will likely hide for the first few days in a new space. But don’t let that fool you — once she feels safe and settled, she transforms into a total love bug! After just a couple of days in foster care, Lucy went from running away to following us around and asking for hugs.

One of her most adorable quirks? She sometimes gives a tiny hiss as her way of saying hello. It started when she was nervous, but now it’s just part of her greeting routine — a little hiss, then she walks right over for pets. Occasionally she’ll meow her hello instead, but she always makes sure to announce herself when someone enters the room. Other than her sweet greetings (and her happy purring), she’s a very quiet girl.

Lucy grew up with her siblings (she's still an adolescent) and gets along well with other cats and even dogs. That said, human attention is a bigger focus for her. If cuddles are involved, she’ll happily climb over anyone to be first in line for your affection!

She’s not especially toy-driven and would much rather receive pets than chase treats or play games. For Lucy, love and security are far more exciting than toys.

Lucy would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can adjust at her own pace. Once she trusts you, she’ll reward you with unwavering devotion and endless affection.

If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion who bonds deeply with her person, Lucy may be your perfect match.
