Hi, my name is Lucy. I am 9 years old and was surrendered with my brother, Marley, on 3/26/26. I’m a girl that likes attention, but to a certain extent. If I get overstimulated with the amount of attention I'm getting at the moment, I will swat as a defense mechanism. I do not get along with other cats, BUT I do very well with smaller dogs and livestock. I was an indoor/outdoor cat at my previous home. My ideal home would be a farm, or somewhere I can be outside and take time alone as I need. My previous family said that I “catch mice like a boss” so if you’re looking for cheap pest control, I'm your girl<br/><br/>Would you like to stop by and visit with me? Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
