Lucy's Story

All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step.
Meet Lucy - She is a petite girl and as sweet as can be. Her foster mom recently had 2 cats for adoption in the home and anytime someone would come meet the other foster cat, Lucy would try her absolute best to win the potential adopter over. She knows what she wants and she wants to be adopted!
She loves people and will gladly roll around on her favorite cardboard cat scratcher and rub up against you. She loves attention and affection. She is an absolute sweetie pie who has never met a stranger because she’s immediately friends with everyone she meets.
We have learned that Lucy really does not like the company of cats, she much prefers the companionship of people over cats. Lucy’s ideal home would be one with people around a decent amount of the time as she craves attention but no other pets as they stress her out. She would do well with kids.
This girl is a true character with so much personality that she will make you laugh (just look at her photos posted - all funny personality). Lucy is literally begging you to come meet her and take her home!

All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped.
The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
