Lucy's Story
Lucy is a truly special 6 year old soul who is searching for a very specific kind of hero. After the heartbreaking loss of her person, Lucy has had a difficult time navigating so much change. She is a quiet, sensitive "one-person cat" who is deeply fearful of new people and busy environments. Because she can get overwhelmed and defensive in unfamiliar spaces, she will need to start out in a dedicated starter room of her own. However, Lucy has recently been showing us her incredibly affectionate side at the shelter. That is how we know she is ready to find her forever home! Once she trusts you, she transforms into a total "purr machine" who wants nothing more than to spend all day right by your side. To help her feel secure, Lucy is looking for a serene, adult-only home where she can be your only pet (no dogs or other cats). She is front-declawed and will thrive on routine and stability. She also needs someone who is home most of the time--especially during her first few months--and won't leave her alone for long periods. If you have a quiet lifestyle, a calm heart, and the patience to help a grieving kitty find her footing again, Lucy will reward you with a lifetime of unconditional love and loyalty. Lucy's adoption fee is $200.

*To visit our cats, you must make an appointment on-line at www.caringforcatsmn.org/adopt.*

Note: While we are happy to respond to your questions about any of our cats, you will still be required to make an on-line appointment at www.caringforcatsmn.org/adopt if you wish to meet our cats.
