Lucy 2's Story
Meet Lucy, a charming 10-month-old grey Domestic Shorthair cat residing in London, Ontario. She was brought into the shelter on March 27, along with a total of nine other cats and kittens, each with their own unique personalities and stories.

Lucy, being the runt of her litter, has developed a distinctive character that sets her apart from her siblings. While she may be smaller in stature, her spirit is anything but diminished. Unlike some of her littermates, Lucy has shown a particular aversion to being picked up, which is not uncommon in cats that prefer to maintain their independence and personal space. However, Lucy's demeanour is notably friendlier than that of her companions, which makes her a delightful presence in any home.

She exhibits a vibrant curiosity that often surpasses that of her fellow feline friend, Maria. This inquisitive nature leads her to explore her surroundings with a keen interest, and she can often be found following humans around the house, eager to see what they are up to. Interestingly, Lucy seems to have a preference when it comes to her human companions. She appears to be less fond of male figures, which may stem from her early experiences or simply be a quirk of her personality.

Despite this, she has a warm and affectionate side that shines through when she seeks out attention from her preferred humans. Lucy has a delightful habit of rubbing against people’s legs, a behaviour that she uses to solicit affection and companionship. Her favourite spots for receiving attention are along her jawline and ears, where she enjoys gentle pets and scratches. This affectionate behaviour not only strengthens the bond with her human caregivers but also highlights her need for social interaction and love.

Lucy's unique combination of curiosity, friendliness, and a hint of independence makes her a wonderfully intriguing companion for anyone looking to welcome a new feline
