Lucky's Story

Abandoned in our front yard behind bins, we did not see them for at least 3 days because they were left in carriers where we placed carriers to be cleaned and neither kitty uttered a sound.

After working on an excavator all day in the back yard, Tim was walking by and faintly heard a meow. He came running inside with one carrier with a note attached explaining that they were escaping a domestic violence situation. We immediately processed her intake, and in reading the note we realized there were others. We found one more carrier with another kitty inside who was soaked in urine because the carrier she was in was completely hard plastic.

Neither had edible food nor any water. Although terrified, hungry and thirsty, both appeared healthy. However, the other has a clear fear of men, which we've been working on.

All our kitties have been spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

If you want to meet this kitty, please complete the interest card as well as our Match-Making Adoption Application found on our website, https://criticalcarekittencoalition.org (not here on PetFinder)

Adoption fee: $100

Critical Care Kitten Coalition's Adoption Policy
We require our Match-Making application to be completed and submitted to the email address listed on the application. If we only receive the PetFinder interest info, we will respond requesting our application. Because our emails tend to be routed to the Spam folder, we depend on potential clients having their phone number listed in PetFinder. Otherwise, we scrap the interest card after 3 weeks. We have a five-stage adoption process: Stage 1: We must receive our adoption application, completed in full and signed Stage 2: If all looks good, a phone interview will be conducted where we will get to know each other a bit more and we might establish an appointment Stage 3: Pay a nonrefundable fee to meet the kitties. It's $30 for one person, $50 for two or more. This fee is paid through our website under Save A Kitten. If there's a match, the Meet and Greet fee will be deducted from the adoption fee (Note: Do not pay this until after the phone interview). Stage 4: Once payment is received, you will receive a text with our address as confirmation of the appointment, and Stage 5: Meeting the adoptable kitties. (Questions are strongly encouraged, but because who you come here for may not be who you adopt, please wait to ask questions until you are here)
