With her striped tail, spunky demeanor, and love for bread, she's part raccoon at heart. Lu brings fun and a bit of chaos to any home. Lu joined Trash Cat due to her previous owner's housing issues. Full of energy, she needs ample mental and physical stimulation. Ideal for a home with space and structured playtime, Lu enjoys jumping after wand toys, chasing balls, wrestling, burrowing into blankets, watching out windows, chewing on shoelaces, and lounging in the sun. While not overly cuddly, she loves human company, greeting you at the door, and bringing toys when she wants to play. She may snuggle up next to you on chilly nights, and is easy to handle, even tolerating being held like a baby. Lu does well with older, cat-savvy kids and has adjusted to living with her foster's resident cat. She could live with another playful but respectful cat and prefers a dog-free home. She can exhibit stress a bit more easily than some cats, and to manage this, Lu is on a small anxiety pill which she takes once a day. Trash Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy

Typically the potential adopter reaches out either with or without a specific cat in mind. We will usually ask questions about the type of cat the adopter is interested in (any preferences as far as gender, color, personality, etc.), as well as the sort of home the cat would be going to (any kids, other pets, etc.). If we have a cat or kitten who would be a good fit, the adopter can fill out our application for that animal. If not, the person can still fill out the app, and we will keep them if mind if we end up with a cat who we think would be a good fit. Once the app is reviewed/approved (including checking vet and landlord references), we would chat any further with the adopter if needed, and then schedule a meet and greet with them with the cat or kitten. If the animal and the adopter hit it off, the adopter would then fill out our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and take the cat or kitten home!
