Louise's Story

Louise is a proud representative of the tortoiseshell community, and she takes her responsibilities very seriously.

This gorgeous girl comes fully equipped with all the classic tortie features: sass, opinions, dramatic flair, selective customer service skills, and a surprisingly affectionate streak that keeps everyone wrapped around her tiny little paw. One moment she’s demanding attention like she pays the bills, the next she’s gently soft-paw swatting you because apparently you pet her incorrectly. She usually immediately turns around and asks for more though! Louise believes personal growth is important, and clearly she thinks this is a learning opportunity for you.

At the shelter, Louise can often be found yelling through the glass about her current list of demands, which may include (but is not limited to): food, second breakfast, attention, additional attention, more toys, premium catnip, emotional support, and a better view of the birds out the window. She is needy, she is vocal, and she has absolutely no shame about either of those things.

But beneath all the theatrics is an incredibly affectionate cat who genuinely loves people and wants to be involved in whatever you’re doing at all times. Louise doesn’t just want a home, she wants an audience. She wants someone who appreciates a cat with personality, confidence, and enough commentary to fill an entire reality television series.

She’s sass. She’s class. She’s soft-paw swats and dramatic speeches wrapped up in one stunning tortoiseshell package. And honestly, the shelter volunteers are stretched too thin to meet all her demands, it’s probably time someone took her home.
