Louie's Story

Classic dark tabby Louie is so cute and entertaining. His antics will make you laugh out loud!
He has mild cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition known as wobble cat syndrome, most likely due to exposure to a virus in utero. He is totally healthy. Wobble kitties can live long, vibrant, happy lives. His only manifestation is a slightly quivering head when he's excited or scared, and a precious high-stepping prance. He moves a little differently, but his heart is perfectly in tune.
Louie loves wand toys, climbing, galloping up and down the hall, wrestling with his littermates and mom, and snuggles. He is great with kids, as you can see in some of the photos. One of his kid friends says he can be feisty too!
Louie would do best in a home with another cat who can keep him company and entertained (maybe a littermate or their young momma)!
He is fully litter box trained, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and will soon be neutered and microchipped.
To keep him safe, he needs to be an indoor only cat or to be supervised when he's outside.
Louie is currently in a foster home. Contact foster Liz at 707 496-9623 for more information or to arrange a meet and greet.

Companion Animal Foundation's Adoption Policy
If interested, we have potential adopters meet the animal in person and fill out our adoption application. After reviewing the application, which are processed in the order they are received, as long as everything checks out and is good to go we will reach out to the applicant to either set up an adoption appointment (if the animal of interest is altered and ready to go), ask some clarifying questions if part of the application was unclear, or let you know that the animal is already spoken for. We require that ALL family members meet the animal prior to adoption. Once the kitty or puppy, cat or dog is ready to go- we do an in person adoption where we go over pet care, the history of your new family member, microchip the animal, and help fill out the registration information.
