Lou's Story

Lou is a total sweetheart! She wants to be where the people are and will hang out with you, your friends, your family... anyone you know as long as they have two legs. She is not a fan of other pets that we have seen, although in her foster home she has been around a small dog and ignored her then went upstairs where the dog couldn’t go. So, maybe? Lou came to us as an owner surrender, which we don’t normally take in. The family loved her but had adopted a new kitten and a dog. Since she wasn’t thrilled with that she ended up living full time in the basement. She is a little chonky so we are guessing she ate due to boredom. However, she is the absolute sweetest girl in the whole world! She deserves a home she can live the rest of her life in without being confined to one space. She’s a Velcro kitty ready to chill with you and hang out. No crazy kitten antics or training required! She’s about 12 years old and has no health issues, other than maybe losing a few pounds. But we are working on that!

To be considered, please apply at feistyfelines.org/adoption-application. Adoption fees for kittens are $235/one or $425/pair, adults are $160. “Shy guys” and special cases may be discounted. Includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines up to date, dewormed, flea treated, and combo testing done on the litter.

Feisty Felines's Adoption Policy
Please keep in mind that these kittens are primarily feral-born and their full history is often unknown. Their level of friendliness will vary depending on a number of factors, but we always do our best to describe their current comfort level in the posting. We require indoor-only homes. Partly due to the nature of the work we do with feral-born kittens that would be extremely difficult to get back inside if they escape outside. But also due to inherent dangers outside. (Rare exceptions may be made for adult cats that have previously been indoor/outdoor and would not adapt well as indoor-only pets, but these are uncommon). We also require owners to never declaw any adopted cats. Declawing is inhumane and has been shown to have a high correlation with chronic behavioral and health issues. With regards to kittens only, please note that we do give preference to approved adopters seeking a bonded pair of kittens. However, we understand not all homes can adopt a pair of kittens, so our secondary preference is a home a home with other cats. We may occasionally have kittens who would do well in a home with a dog or without other cats, but this is less common. While us humans can love them and play with them, it isn’t the same. They really do better with a friend. This policy does not apply to teenagers or adults. Adult (1 year +) and teenage cats (6 months to a year) may go to a home without other pets as long as we think they would thrive in that environment. Please note that all cats and kittens are placed on a case-by-case basis and there may be some unique exceptions to these policies if we think it is best for the cat. Thank you for understanding. They are fixed, chipped, vaccinated, combo testing done, deflead and dewormed. Adults and “shy guy” kitties receive the same treatment and are a discounted rate (dependent on level of shyness). Adoptions include a 30-day refund guarantee. If for any reason you decide it’s not a good fit within the first 30 days we will issue a full refund. Of course we will gladly take the kitty back beyond 30 days (space permitting), but refunds beyond 30 days are not guaranteed. To be considered, please apply at feistyfelines.org/adoption-application. Thanks for considering adopting a rescue! <3
