Lotus's Story

Meet Lotus — A One-Eyed Wonder with a Giant Heart

Meet Lotus — a sweet, spirited young girl with one eye, a huge heart, and a personality that shines as bright as the sun. Don't let her little pirate look fool you... this girl is all love. Lotus is lively, affectionate, and full of charm, with just the right mix of playful energy and cozy cuddles.

Lotus can be wary of new people at first and appreciates having space while she warms up. She may offer soft little hisses when she's feeling unsure, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into the most loyal, devoted companion. Once she trusts you, you've truly got a best friend for life. She would thrive in a quieter home with one or two humans who appreciate an extra-affectionate kitty and understand that good things take time. While she has lived with other cats in foster care, Lotus's personality shines brightest as an only cat, where she can soak up all the love and attention from her people.

This playful queen knows how to keep herself entertained! She loves batting toys across the room, leaping for the laser, chasing string, obsessing over ping-pong balls, and lounging in sunny spots after a round of zoomies. She also adores watching birds from her favorite window perch (and “attacking” them through the glass). Lotus loves to climb and explore, so a cat tree or fun perches would make her very happy. She's playful but never over-the-top — just the perfect amount of fun and feisty.

While Lotus can entertain herself, she much prefers being near her people. She's becoming quite the Velcro cat and is extremely affectionate — she loves being picked up, greeted, pet, and included in whatever you're doing. She happily joins you in the bathroom, snuggles in bed, watches TV, and people-watches from the window. She's medium-chatty and enjoys talking to her humans, making every day feel a little more connected. One of her foster mom's favorite stories is the time Lotus alerted her to a wasp in the apartment and helped track it down (no one got stung!). Lotus was rewarded with a Churu for her bravery — clearly a heroic girl who protects her home.

Lotus hasn't met children yet, but she would likely do well with calm, older kids who understand cat behavior and know when to give her space. She truly is the perfect blend of playful companion and relaxed cuddle bug — a low-maintenance lovebug with a whole lot of heart.

If you're looking for a loyal, playful companion who marches to the beat of her own drum (and looks adorable doing it), Lotus might just be your girl. Schedule a meet and greet and let this brave, loving pirate kitty steal your heart.

WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED TO A SCREENER.

Apply at online application (catsfff.org/adopt)

View all of our adoptable cats here (catsfff.org/cats)

Our adoption fees are listed here (catsfff.org/adoption-fees)

Forever Fortunate Felines's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines. We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent. We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster-based, we really understand our cat's personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here: https://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier that opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age. We are able to accept PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee. Adoption Fees: http://foreverfortunatefelines.org/adoption-fees/ We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy! Everything from the application to payment, to the contract is online. Additionally, all of the cat's records will be placed in your free Pet lovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized. With Warm Regards, Michela Onesti President Of Forever Fortunate Felines cats@foreverfortunatefelines.org (844) CATSFFF or (844) 228-7333
