Lola and Scooter (special needs bonded pair)'s Story
Introducing (drum roll please) Lola and Scooter. This unlikely pair has become inseparable during their time being fostered at Fishtown Animal Hospital!

Lola is an adorable old lady who was found in the freezing cold one winter day in 2020. A good samaritan took her in to foster through Fishtails Animal Rescue for a new lease on life. As an already older lady braving the harsh cold, she was sick, malnourished, and fearful but quickly warmed up to the inside life. Lola is FIV + but can live with other cats. She is a cat who would prefer to be adored instead of held. She loves Churu snacks and snoozing in warm spots. Lola has survived breast cancer and is hard of hearing. She is looking for a cozy senior community to live out her golden years with her friend Scooter.

Scooter, her younger companion, had a very rough start as well. Fishtails saved him from ACCT (our local shelter) minutes before he was going to be euthanized 1 year after Lola arrived. He was a shell of a cat weighing less than 5 lbs. He was dumped in the shelter parking lot - literally booted out of the car and could barely walk. Scooter battled and won against the deadly disease FIP thanks to the care from the rescue. Sadly he was found to be neglected and abused. He had a fractured hip which could not be repaired at the time as he was undergoing the very difficult treatment for FIP. Since recovering and meeting Lola, they became each others' comfort and are often found snuggled in a bed with Scooter always watching out for her. Scooter is a very sweet but shy boy. He never had the chance to learn how to cat but his awkward ways will warm your heart

DOBs
Lola: 12/28/2011
Scooter: 9/3/2017

Want to know more?
