Lola's Story

Lola and baby Ashe have been settling into foster care, and were so happy to share that shes making wonderful progress.

At first, Lola was very scared of being indoors. At only about 7 months old, shes still just a kitten herself, and becoming a mom while living outdoors was a lot for such a young cat. Sadly, she lost two of her kittens—one to failure to thrive and another to a raccoon—which made her transition even more difficult.

Today, were seeing a different side of Lola. While shes still cautious, she has become much more attentive to baby Ashe and is growing more comfortable with people every day. She can now be held and petted, and shes learning that human affection feels pretty good!

Lola definitely has a strong personality. One thing weve learned is that she craves the companionship of other cats. When one of her old outdoor companions came to visit, the two immediately curled up together and snuggled. It was a beautiful reminder that cats form lasting friendships, too.

Lola still needs a patient foster or forever home where she can continue building confidence at her own pace. Watching her discover safety, love, and comfort has been incredibly rewarding, and we know her best days are still ahead.

If youre interested in fostering, fostering to adopt, or adopting, please fill out an application through our Linktree:
https://linktr.ee/rileyscatrescue

Once completed, please email it to us.
