Lola's Story

Meet Lola, the tireless great mom who deserves her own happiness now!

Lola is a sweet and gentle tuxedo girl, she was rescued with 3 of her newborn babies, Kylee, Talia, and Oakley.

From the beginning, Lola cared for them tirelessly — feeding them, grooming them, and teaching them the little rules of kitten life. She showed them how to play, how to share, and how to be gentle with each other. When their wrestling matches get a little too wild, Mama Lola simply gives a soft nibble and reminds them to behave and love one another. She has also taught them something even more important: that humans are kind. Because of her, these kittens grew up trusting people and happily interacting with them. They are sweet, curious, affectionate, and wonderfully well-adjusted little kittens.

That experience has also made Lola even more gentle and affectionate. She seems deeply grateful for the kindness she’s received from humans, and she returns it with soft purrs and warm companionship. Even though she’s been a wonderful mom, she’s still young at heart — she enjoys playful moments, snuggles happily beside you, and leans into pets and attention.

Now that the babies are at about 2½ months old, it’s time for each of them — and their devoted mama — to find loving homes of their own. Lola is ready to resume her kitten life, where she can finally be someone’s cherished baby, too.

Lola can be adopted individually, or even more happily, with one of her beloved babies. In either case, your home will be filled with endless sweetness, playfulness, and love.

Lola is rescued and under the care of Save a Gato. Any applicant needs to apply through the website of our organization https://www.saveagato.com/available-cats

Although our cats are all located in Puerto Rico, they can fly to mainland US. We can usually find flight angels to bring the cat to you once you are approved for adoption. We don't charge for arranging the trip, the air ticket is $125 on top of the $50 adoption fee ($175 total).

Any potential adopter should fill out an application form (for a specific cat or for general pre-approval). After we review the application, a phone interview will be arranged for the qualified applicants for final approval. After the approval the applicant may choose to visit our facilities or local petsmart/petco stores where our cats are located for adoption and meet the dream cat (if the adopter doesn't already have a particular cat in mind). Finally the adopter will sign the adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, pay refundable spay/neuter deposit (if applicable) and pick up the cat. If the adopter is located in a different location in the US than Puerto Rico, arrangement of delivering the cat will also be discussed. We can usually find flight angels to bring the cat to mainland US. We don't charge for arranging the trip, the cost of pet ticket is about $95-$125 depending the airline.
