Loki's Story
Loki was born with mild Atresia Ani Type 1, which is a congenital narrowing of the anus. Currently we are managing his condition with a daily pinch of Metamucil to assure that he can poop with minimal discomfort. Loki is being evaluated as a candidate for surgical repair, which would entail removing the misfolded bit of tissue causing the narrowing. We are publishing his story now in case someone with experience with Atresia Ani is interested in fostering or adopting him. Although small for his age and sometimes struggling to go potty, Loki is otherwise a happy and healthy kitten. He is a very snuggly and playful little guy and wins the hearts of everyone who meets him. Loki was surrendered along with his mother Angela and they would be a wonderful pair to adopt together! At 10 weeks, Loki has started his shots. CKR will cover the cost of his remaining vet care, including his surgery and neutering. If you have experience with caring for Atresia Ani Type 1 we would love to hear from you and learn about your experience. If you have room in your heart and home to foster or adopt this very special "special needs" kitten please call or text us at 301-788-1574, or email us at comkitties1@gmail.com
