Loki's Story

**Meet Loki!**

Loki may have started life outdoors, but thanks to a kind-hearted person who looked out for him and his sister, Hela, he now knows just how wonderful indoor living can be—and he's never looking back.

This handsome guy is a little cautious when meeting new people, preferring to take it all in from a safe distance at first. Give him a little time, though, and you'll discover a quiet, affectionate companion who loves to curl up nearby and keep you company. He doesn't need to be the center of attention—he's simply happiest being close to his favorite person.

Loki is endlessly curious about everything happening around him, even if he prefers to observe before jumping in. His absolute favorite place is a sunny window perch, where he can spend hours birdwatching, napping, and soaking up the sunshine.

If you adopt Loki, be sure to stock up on scratching boards—this boy is a professional shredder! He can turn a brand-new scratcher into confetti in no time. He's also highly food motivated and absolutely *lives* for squeeze-up treats. If you need to win him over, that's the way to his heart!

Loki and his sister, Hela, could go home together if the opportunity arises—but it's not a requirement. Loki has lived happily with other cats and would do well with a friendly feline companion. He's also confident enough to thrive as a solo kitty, as long as he gets plenty of love, attention, and quality time with his people.

If you're looking for a gentle, low-key companion who will reward your patience with quiet cuddles and loyal companionship, Loki is ready to find his forever home.

Loki is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens.

When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Animal House of South East Michigan, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. Our adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten $195 for a pair of cats or kittens Please note that we do not do same day adoptions and all adoption fees are non-refundable. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We are also flexible if more time is needed to determine if its the right fit. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
