LOCAL KITTEN, Gansett's Story
Little Gansett (named in honor of the Brewers’ first World Series!) was one of a “six-pack” of kittens who arrived at the shelter at the end of October, and he is now ready for a real home! He is a healthy, active, playful little guy, though he is a little bit furtive when we reach to pick him up, preferring instead to run around and play with the other kittens. But when he’s tuckered out a bit, he’s easy to corral and cuddle, and is then content to be held and loved. A tiny bit timid, but not at all a scaredy-cat!

Gansett will do well in all types of homes — with humans of all ages, including very young children, homes with other cats, and dogs as well, as long as the dog is not aggressive towards small creatures.

Gansett is around 9 weeks of age and has not yet seen a vet; adopter assumes all medical costs, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. He has received flea treatments and de-wormers. Adoption fee is $25 to cover basic costs at the shelter, plus a state-mandated $100 spay/neuter deposit, which is fully refundable upon proof of spay/neuter. Personal checks are accepted from R.I. residents only; all others may pay by credit/debit card or money order, payable to “Town of Scituate.” No cash is accepted.

For more information or an application, email clayvillecritters@cox.net, call the shelter at (401) 647-7200, or visit the shelter during regular hours: Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri 7 to 11 a.m., Sat 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call before visiting, to make sure he is still available.

You can also access a downloadable application by going to the Town of Scituate’s Animal Control page and scrolling down to the link to the Cat Adoption Form:
https://www.scituateri.gov/departments/animal_control/index.php

Or copy and paste the following into your browser: https://cms5.revize.com/revize/townofscituate/scituate%20ri%20cat%20adopt%20form%20rev%200922.pdf

Please email all PDF applications to clayvillecritters@cox.net for faster processing.
