LLOYD's Story

Lloyd is in the community cat room! Lloyd is a sweet and very sensative boy who is still learning all about the indoor life. He has come a long way with his socialization and while he still hesitates and sometimes gets scared, especially if you come for him too quickly, he is learning that people are good and mean food and love and he is adapting very well. He can still be swatty, especially when scared, and needs to have his boundaries and cues respected. For this reason, he would do best in a quieter home, without small children, that lets him come around at his own pace. He would also love to have another friendly cat to bond with and help show him the proper way to cat. He loves Churu treats and wetfood and is very food motivated! Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 816. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 18 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
