Lizzy (`Pom`)'s Story

*** Lizzy ("Pom") is in a foster home. ***

Lizzy #19758: black/white tuxedo, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 4/11/25

Cats: must have a buddy
Dogs: hasn’t met
Children: elementary+

BACKGROUND: Lizzy was only a couple of weeks old and sick with an upper respiratory infection when she and her siblings were left at a high-kill shelter that didn’t have the resources for bottle babies. Thankfully they were able to transfer to Rescue House foster care for bottle-feeding and to get the TLC they needed. Lizzy’s siblings have found their homes... now it’s her turn!

PERSONALITY: Lizzy Pom loves her known people (strangers are a little bit hmmm) and readily turns on the purrs for you. She gets the zoomies several times a day and love-love-loves to play! She is very tumbly-active yet generally mellow in nature. She will be a bit reserved when getting acquainted. Her eyes will light up for treats, though, and her favorite thing to do is sleep on a blanket on your lap. You’ll need to go to Lizzy rather than wait for her to come to you and then the connection can be made. While she may be independent-minded, Lizzy loves to be loved on!

COMPATIBILITY: Lizzy LOVES other cats and must have an active feline friend. She has not met dogs or children, though may be good with respectful elementary-aged kids.

Will this purry darling win your heart?
