Little Girl's Story
Meet Little Girl!

Don't let her name fool you-Little Girl may be petite, but this short-haired black beauty has plenty of personality hiding behind those gorgeous eyes.

Little Girl recently arrived at Homeward Bound with her longtime companion, Little Man, after a kind person took them in temporarily when their owner had an urgent health situation.

The plan was for their owner to come back.

But they never did.

Their temporary caregiver reached out time and time again, hoping to reconnect, but after nearly a year of caring for these two, she finally had to ask for help finding them the homes they deserved.

And so Little Girl and Little Man arrived at Homeward Bound-together.

Little Girl is more reserved than her fluffy gentleman friend. She's an introvert who takes her time adjusting to new people and new surroundings. She doesn't particularly enjoy being picked up, but that doesn't mean she doesn't want to know what you're doing!

Quite the opposite.

This curious girl will climb onto counters just to be near you and check out what's happening around her. She loves her scratching post, enjoys catnip and is definitely talkative once she gets comfortable.

She's just a girl who likes to do things on her own timeline.

Beautiful short-haired black coat
Introverted & shy at first
Talkative
Loves scratching posts
LOVES catnip
Curious about everything
Slow to adjust, but worth the wait
Prefers not to be picked up
Will happily climb up to be near you and supervise

And then there's Little Man.

He's calm, easygoing and affectionate-and he's been by Little Girl's side through all of this.

So while Little Girl may need a little more patience, she has a built-in best friend who knows her.

Wouldn't it be incredible if these two could find a loving home together?

Little Girl doesn't need someone who expects her to be an instant lap cat.

She needs someone who understands that trust is something you build-and that sometimes the most rewarding relationships happen when you let a cat come to you.

Give her time.

Give her patience.

Give her a little catnip.

And maybe give her Little Man, too.

Come meet Little Girl and Little Man at Homeward Bound and see if these two longtime companions might be the perfect pair for your family.

Their next chapter doesn't have to end with separation. It could begin together.
