Prior to adoption all cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, FVRCP, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, have had a fecal analysis and are treated for any internal or external parasites. Cats and kittens with a wide range of treatable disease and injury are provided the appropriate veterinary care. All adoptable cats have implanted microchips for identification. Dogs and puppies are available for adoption at three months old. They are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, distemper (DH(L)PP), kennel cough and canine influenza virus. Dogs have had a fecal analysis and have been treated for internal and external parasites. All dogs are heartworm tested and microchipped. During their stay all dogs are given flea, tick and heartworm preventative on a monthly basis.
