Little's Story

Hi, my name is Little! I'm a RED pawprint, which means I need an experienced home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Independent, affectionate, quirky, confident, chatty
-Can Live with Cats: No thanks, Little will need to be the only kitty in the home.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, pending a slow and structured introduction
-Can Live with Kids: No thanks. Little has strong boundaries and has never lived with kids before. He'd prefer an adult-only home.
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Yes
-History of Litter Box Issues: No
-Energy Level: Medium
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
Additional Information:
Little is a sweet and sassy boy looking for his forever home! His name might be Little, but this guy has a BIG personality. He's not a fan of other cats, but he loves people and reportedly played well with the small dogs in his previous home. Little can be a bit moody sometimes and would likely do best with a cat-experienced person who knows how to read his body language. This is made pretty easy by the fact that his entire body gets puffy when he's feeling feisty, so it's pretty hard to miss. Little is young (only about 2 years old) and will need plenty of playtime and interaction to keep him occupied. He'd be a great match for a single person or couple looking for an affectionate and silly companion.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
