Coming to the shelter has been overwhelming for this little black cat, and it was easy to mistake her fear for a desire to be left alone.

Then we discovered the way to her heart: butt scratches! The moment she feels a hand creep down her back, she lifts her rump high in the air, asking for more. Suddenly, the frightened shadow melts away, and the sweet girl underneath comes shining through. Once you've found her favorite spot, she never wants to let you go!

Little Bit may never be the cat who rushes to greet every visitor, but she has her own ways of asking for love. She simply needs someone who understands that trust takes time, and that some cats bloom a little more quietly.
