Lionel's Story

Lionel is a affectionate boy who came to Windham Animal Control with a wound of unknown origin. He had appeared to have been attacked by another animal (likely another cat). While being treated at the vet Lionel's FeLV / FIV test came back positive for FIV. Due to his positive FIV results Lionel will either have to be an only cat or be adopted into a home with another cat, or cats that are also positive for FIV. When Lionel first arrived he was very painful from multiple bite wounds. Once he started pain medication it became very clear that he is an incredibly sweet cat with a big personality. Lionel is very social and wants to be the center of attention at all times. He is vocally demanding when he wants something. He absolutely loves toys and catnip. Lionel will have to be an indoor cat. He is up to date on rabies and neutered. If you are interested in inquiring about adopting Lionel please contact Windham Animal Control at (860)465-3087 or aco@windhamct.gov.
