Meet Lionel<br/><br/>Lionel is a 3 year old cat but honestly… he’s basically a dog disguised as a cat. The best way to describe him is a golden retriever trapped in a giant orange cat body.<br/><br/>This boy LOVES everybody. Humans, visitors, other cats… if you exist, Lionel would like to be your friend immediately. He’s the type of cat who greets everyone at the door like a tiny Walmart greeter and wants to be involved in absolutely everything you’re doing.<br/><br/>Lionel is incredibly smart, playful and full of personality. He loves toys, interaction and attention and would thrive in a home where he can be part of the action. He’s affectionate, hilarious and honestly feels like Garfield if Garfield had unlimited energy and a social calendar.<br/><br/>Now, full disclosure… Lionel can also be loud and occasionally a little annoying in the most lovable way possible. He has opinions, likes attention and absolutely believes he should be included in every conversation, activity and snack situation happening around him. If you’ve ever wanted a cat that acts like an overexcited best friend, Lionel is your guy.<br/><br/>Lionel gets along wonderfully with other cats and settles in very easily. He truly just wants friends, snacks and a comfy place to dramatically flop over.<br/><br/>Like many of our cats, Lionel has been on a healthy weight loss journey and has been making great progress. His future family will need to stay committed to portion-controlled feeding because this man absolutely cannot be trusted with a full bowl of food left out. If there’s unlimited snacks available, Lionel will treat it like an all-inclusive resort buffet.<br/><br/>He can also occasionally get yeasty ears, so regular ear cleaning will be needed to keep him comfortable and healthy.<br/><br/>Lionel is fully vaccinated, microchipped and more than ready to find his people. If you’re looking for a social, goofy, loving cat with a giant personality, Lionel may just be your guy.
