Linda's Story

Meet Linda – The Snack-Loving Sweetheart Who Actually Listens

If you’ve ever seen that viral video of the little boy saying, “Linda, honey. Linda, listen to me,” then you already know exactly who this girl is named after. Just like her namesake, Linda is expressive, sweet, and full of personality — but in her case, she really does listen. Especially if snacks are involved.

Linda’s story started when she was brought to the shelter in the back of a U-Haul with nine other cats after her family was evicted. She spent some time there before coming to the Oswego County SPCA, where she quickly became a volunteer favorite. All of her siblings have since been adopted, and now it’s her turn to find her forever family.

At 4 years old, Linda is easygoing, affectionate, and great with other cats, dogs, and kids. She’s the kind of cat who just fits right in — calm, funny, and always up for attention.

Linda is spayed, vaccinated, FeLV/FIV negative, and ready to go home. If you’re looking for a cat who will love you, listen to you, and occasionally talk back in her own way, Linda is your girl.

Important Adoption Information:

When You Submit Your Application:
Please make sure you have notified your veterinarian that we will be calling and that it is okay to speak with us. If you don’t currently have a vet, please determine which one you will be using and set up care in advance so we can confirm your new pet will receive medical attention when needed.

For Pets Already in the Home:
Because the number of homeless animals in our area is so large, we adopt only to homes where current pets are spayed or neutered, with documented medical exceptions. We also require that all resident pets be up to date on their vaccinations to help ensure that everyone — both new and existing family members — stays healthy and safe.

Keep in Mind:
We are 100% foster-based and 100% volunteer-operated, from the top down. Our team works hard to get animals into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Please be patient with us — but if you don’t hear back within a few days, feel free to message us on our Facebook page to confirm your application went through.
