Meet Lima! From a plane ride to a new beginning, Lima has already had quite the adventure—and he's only one year old! Lima arrived at FieldHaven Feline Center with five other young cats—Alpha, Bravo, Sierra, Tango and Helicopter—after an unexpected journey that began in Redding. The cats were no longer able to stay with their previous caregiver and somehow found their way onto a Pilots N Paws transport flight. Two days later, they landed in Auburn and, before long, arrived at FieldHaven. We imagine that was a LOT for a young cat to process. So right now, handsome Lima is taking things slowly. He's still a little shy as he settles into his new surroundings, but his curiosity is starting to peek through. He's watching what's happening around him, taking everything in, and gradually learning that the people here mean him no harm. And just look at that face! Lima is a gorgeous flamepoint boy with plenty of potential to become someone's wonderful feline companion. He may not be ready to jump into your lap and declare you his person quite yet—but that's okay. He's got time. With patience, kindness and a little encouragement, we know there's a sweet boy waiting to come out of his shell. His journey has already taken him farther than he ever expected. Now Lima is ready for the part of his story where he gets to learn what it means to be loved, safe and truly at home.
