Lily's Story

Adorable Lily was recently surrendered to our when her owner had unexpected medical issues arise and was no longer able to care for Lily. Lily has lived with her owner (on Pender Island) since she was a kitten. Poor Lily lost the only home that she has ever known!

We are pleased to report that Lily has taken this dramatic change in stride! She is doing very well in her foster home where she is fostered together with another cat from our rescue. Lily will be 10 years old this summer. But she LOVES to play like a kitten. Her owner told us that Lily even plays fetch! Indeed, we have a video showing her fetching a crumpled-up ball of paper and dropping it at her owner’s feet. Lily has lived with a small active dog before (a chihuahua). They were very good friends and playmates.

Lily has been examined by our veterinarian and had her vaccines updated. Some gingivitis and bleeding gums were noted during her exam, so Lily has also had a full dental done (including 3 extractions and a full cleaning). We want our cats to go off to their new homes HEALTHY – and that includes dental health!

If you would like to learn more about Lily or make an appointment to meet her in her foster home, please reach out – info@catsofsaltspring.com or 236-508-2287

Lily is such a gem and would be a PURRfect addition to your family!
