Lillian Bittersweet's Story

Meet Lillian Bittersweet!
We had never heard a name like this before, so we looked it up, and it seems to be from a very niche movie that was released back in 2008. Just like her name, this girl is a one-of-a kind feline!
Lillian Bittersweet's previous home did not have the time to care for her anymore, and they made the heartbreaking decision to let her find a new family that they thought would be a better fit. She is feeling a bit shy at the moment as she gets used to the chaotic shelter, but she has proven to us that she does not have a mean bone in her body! Even in these times of stress, Lillian has been so sweet and gentle with us. She is a big ol' lover girl, and she just wants a family that she can relax with an snooze the days away!
You may notice from Lillian's pictures that she's looking a bit rough. She came in with severe matting in her fur, and the best thing to do was shave her down and let it all grow from scratch. Don't worry - given time, it will soon grow out into beautiful long fur again! Since Lillian is a senior, and (please don't tell her we said this) more than a tad overweight, she is going to need help grooming herself. She can't reach all of her fur to comb it out, so regular brushing from her owner will be needed to ensure she's looking and feeling her best.
Lillian Bittersweet has been around kids, dogs, and other cats before, and gets along with them all. We think her ideal home would be a calmer environment so she can spend her golden years relaxing in peace!
Lillian is litter-box trained and has received her first round of vaccinations. She is finally ready to get out of the shelter and back into a loving home! If you think Lillian Bittersweet could be the cat for you, come out and meet her today!
