Lila's Story

Oreo and Lila are a lovely senior pair who have spent most of their lives together and are now looking for a new place to call home after their previous owner sadly had to rehome them. While they can be adopted separately, we would truly love to see them stay together—they’ve been constant companions and bring each other comfort. Oreo, an 8-year-old tuxedo, and Lila, a 7-year-old tabby beauty, are both incredibly affectionate and gentle souls. They’re the kind of cats who don’t ask for much—just a cozy lap to curl up in, a sunny window to watch the world go by, and a loving human to call their own. These two are past the kitten chaos and fully embrace the laid-back lifestyle. Whether they’re lounging side by side or quietly keeping you company, Oreo and Lila will fill your home with warmth and calm companionship. If you’re looking for sweet, easygoing cats to share your space, Oreo and Lila might be the perfect match—together or apart, but ideally side by side. Come meet her at Dessin! Open every day from 12-3, no appointment needed.

Dessin Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Adoption: You need to submit an adoption application. The link is below. Once approved, we'll schedule an appointment. Spay and neuter: No pet gets adopted without being spayed or neutered. We're part of the solution to the pet overpopulation problem. Ten point behavioral assessment: A formal, ten point behavioral assessment is conducted on each dog to attempt to identify aggression or behavior problems, as well as to learn about the dog's personality. This helps us determine the best type of home for each dog/puppy.
