Leroy's Story

Meet Leroy – A Survivor with a Heart of Gold Leroy’s story is one of true resilience. This handsome buff tabby spent several years surviving outdoors, and when he finally came to us, he was in heartbreaking condition—suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection, painful stomatitis with significant mouth ulcers, underweight, and full of parasites. It was clear he hadn’t had an easy life. But Leroy didn’t give up—and neither did we. After receiving the care he so desperately needed, including full dental extraction to relieve his stomatitis and eliminate his oral pain, proper medical treatment, and lots of TLC, Leroy has made an incredible transformation. Today, he’s healthy, comfortable, and thriving. And here’s the amazing part—despite having no teeth, Leroy eats dry food like a champ! Nothing slows this boy down, especially when it comes to food (one of his favorite things in life).Leroy is a gentle, sweet soul who absolutely loves attention. He melts for ear scratches and will happily soak up all the pets you’re willing to give. While he’s still a bit timid as he continues to adjust to indoor life, his affectionate nature shines through more every day.Leroy’s ideal home: A quiet, low-traffic environment No young children (he thrives in a calm, predictable space) Does okay with some cats, but can be a bit of a bully towards others Dogs unknownLeroy has overcome so much and is finally getting to enjoy the comfort he always deserved. Now all he needs is a patient, loving home to call his own. If you’re looking for a gentle, low-key companion with an inspiring story and lots of love to give, Leroy is your guy.
