Leo's Story

Leo is a 5 yr old, pudgy, cute and funny boy. He is a rare calico tabby male.<br/>Leo has recently been diagnosed with early stage HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), a misshapen kidney and is on prescription urinary food. Leo needs a quiet, no-to-low stress home. Stressful events can lead to a kidney crisis or increased crystals forming in his bladder. He currently lives happily with several cats and would be fine with other cats or by himself. No dogs please. He is friendly and enjoys lounging on cool surfaces.<br/>Neutered, vaxed, combo negative and microchipped. Fostered in Central Florida and available for adoption to most of the US. <br/>Adoption fee of $200. Transport fees additional. Florida Persian and Exotic Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy

WE WILL NOT ANSWER INQUIRIES ASKING IF A CERTAIN CAT IS AVAILABLE. If its listed as adoptable, then its available. If you don't see it listed, it isn't! We also will NOT be answering inquiries asking if the application was received. If you submit online and get the "Thank you for submitting" page, then we got it. 1. Complete the application, in full, and submit. Must be at least 24 yrs old. 2. Conduct a brief phone interview. 3. Home ownership or landlord approval will be verified and both personal and veterinary references contacted. 4. If adopting out of state, a zoom call to do a home check is completed. If adopting within Florida, the home visit will be done in person Please note, we are a small, all volunteer rescue. While we strive to process applications as quickly as possible, it can take up to 1-2 weeks to get through the entire process. We ask that you understand that we all have full-time jobs in addition to our dedication to the rescue; as well as families of our own and emergencies always arise.
