Leila's Story

Leila. Age: about 2-3 years old as of 11/2023 Miss Pat trapped Leila outside in Newark. She was found sleeping on a pile of leaves in the cold. We thought she might have been pregnant, but she wasn’t at all! She is a beautiful medium hair black cat. She is a little chunky girl with the cutest little chipmunk cheeks. She is super friendly and just wants to sit in your lap and make biscuits all day. She is super calm and gets along with other cats. She does very well with children and does well being handled. We aren't sure how she would do with dogs. Leila is up to date with vaccines and spayed. She is FIV (-) however she is FELV (+). Please don't let her FELV status deter you from including her into your home! We are only adopting out Leila into a home with no other cats or with other cats that already have FELV. Miss Pats Cats's Adoption Policy

Adoption application and contract are required. Due to a high volume and to respect our volunteers' time, incomplete applications will NOT be considered. If adopter leases their home, a copy of the lease stating that pets are permitted is required. If adopter is over 65 years old and adopting a young cat or kitten, a notarized letter stating that there will be a next of kin to care for the cat is required. ALL POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST RESIDE IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY. Adoption fees are $225 per cat and 2 for $400. For Siamese mixes and DLH, the adoption fee is $300, Full vetting including spay/neuter is included.
