Leighanne's Story

Leighanne is a gorgeous senior kitty, estimated to be around 10-12 years old, who has overcome incredible odds to find her way to health and happiness. When we rescued her from a local county shelter, she was emaciated, anemic, and battling a heart murmur. She was listed as a hospice case on the public Urgent Cats list, and we couldn't turn our backs on her.
With lots of love, care, and good food, Leighanne's health turned around beautifully. Her anemia resolved, her heart murmur disappeared, and her blood work improved dramatically in just six weeks. She's now off all medications and thriving!
Leighanne, or "Leelee" as we lovingly call her, is a striking Snowshoe and Tabby Point Siamese mix. Her favorite activities include napping, watching the world from her favorite window, and keeping a vigilant (and vocal) watch on the possum that occasionally strolls by at night. She's also a big foodie who insists on three different meals a day--her mealtime demands are adorably vocal and hard to resist!
While she's fine around other animals (dogs and cats don't faze her), Leighanne prefers to save all her affection for her humans. She's a cuddle queen who leans into every pet, rubs her face against your hand, and thrives on attention.
Leighanne does have one special request: daily grooming. She sheds quite a bit and appreciates a thorough petting with a grooming glove or a gentle combing session.
This stunning, low-energy girl is the perfect companion for someone seeking a calm, affectionate feline friend. Leighanne's journey from neglect to vitality has made her all the more special, and she's ready to share her love and charm with her forever family.
Could Leighanne be your perfect match?
Please note: We only accept adoption applications through our website or in person (Facebook and Petfinder inquiries are not considered applications).
