- Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. Lazarus was being kept in a small attic room with 5 other cats when we rescued him. On his 6th day in foster care he had a seizure. We are not sure if it was something in the new environment or a true health issue. We put him on anti seizure meds as a precaution. We have been slowly weaning him down on these meds & has not had a seizure since that day. It’s been almost 2 months. We’d be happy to discuss in detail everything with an approved potential adopter.

Lazarus is a large handsome hunk of a love bug with a stunningly sleek black coat & beautiful big green eyes. He’s approx. 2 years old & currently weighs about 12lbs. We rescued him along with 13 other cats from a home where the owner was dying of stage 4 cancer & was no longer able to care for her pets. Her family reached out to us pleading for help & we couldn’t say no to helping with this cause. We teamed up with 2 other rescue groups & were able to rescue & vet all of the cats in this home. Lazarus had been kept in a small attic room for his entire life with 5 of the other cats before we took him into the rescue, yet he is such a sweet & social boy! We are not sure why the cats in this home were kept in separate spaces, because Lazarus is great with all of the other animals in his foster home. This includes other cats, a few dogs & a mini pig! Lazarus is playful & so friendly! He loves to run around playing on the scratching posts in his foster home and one of his favorite past times is to jump up on his foster moms lap for a snuggle during the day or a nap with her at night too! Lazarus has been fully vetted since we took him into the rescue. He did unfortunately have a seizure 6 days after we rescued him & we put him on medication as a precaution, but have been slowly weaning his dose down. We also moved him into a new foster home, because we were not sure if it was caused by his new environment or something else. It has now been about 2 months & he has not had another seizure. We’d be happy to discuss all about this with a potential approved adopter. Even if his meds are necessary long term, he eats them in his food & they are not very expensive. This guys personality & love for his humans is well worth the possible little extra he may need to live a long happy & healthy life!
Lazarus is neutered, has tested negative for FIV/ Felv, is on flea prevention & is up-to-date with his vaccines.
