Layla Larchwood's Story
Personality Type:
Part-Time Lover — Wants to be in the same room with you, but also appreciates having her own space.

Layla is an independent, playful, and slightly spicy girl with a very sweet side. Since joining her foster family, her personality has really blossomed. She loves her humans and seeks them out when they come home, happily settling nearby for long cat naps and affection. She enjoys being part of the action, but she also appreciates having her boundaries respected.

Layla is playful and curious, especially when there are string toys or catnip toys involved. She also loves sharpening her claws on scratching posts and lounging near her favorite people—including older kids and teens.

Thanks to her foster family, Layla has learned to get along with other cats and even tolerate a rambunctious teenage dog. She does best with confident pets who understand and respect her boundaries. She can hold her own with strong, confident cats, but tends to push around more timid or meek cats, so she would be happiest as the only kitty or paired with a cat who won't be intimidated by her sass.

Layla is not a good match for small children, but she loves teens who can understand her cues and give her space when she needs it. A mature, respectful dog may also be a good match for her.

If you're looking for a cat who is affectionate without being clingy, playful without being nonstop, and equal parts sass and sweetness, Layla may be your girl!

Layla is around one year old. She is spayed, FeLV/FIV negative, current on vaccinations, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter-box trained.

Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax)

To adopt, please fill out an application at www.projectmeow.org/adopt/adoption-application/

For additional information, contact us at adoptions@projectmeow.org

Project MEOW is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization and is dedicated to saving the lives of West Philadelphia's homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals.

Thank you for looking to rescue a furbaby!
