Lavender's Story

Lavender will melt your heart. This petite dilute gray tabby girl makes up for her small size with a huge zest for life!
She loves playing with toys, cavorting around, wrestling with her siblings and mom, and is a first class snuggler. She is well socialized with her littermates and with kids.
Lavender has moderate cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition known as wobble cat syndrome, most likely due to exposure to a virus in utero. She may wobble when she walks, but she'll walk straight into your heart!
She is totally healthy. Wobble kitties can live long, vibrant, happy lives. She is getting stronger every day and adapting to her wobbles. These kitties tend to gain more skills over time as they continue to adapt to their condition, especially with a bit of assistance. As the photos show, she can eat on her own if she has support to lean against. To keep her safe, she needs to be an indoor only cat or supervised when she's outside.
Lavender would do best in a home with another cat who can keep her company and entertained (maybe one of her littermates or young mom!).
She is litter box trained, and does best with a low entrance litter box and pelleted litter. She is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and will soon be spayed and microchipped.
Lavender is currently in a foster home. Contact foster Liz at 707 496-9623 for more information or to arrange a meet and greet.

If interested, we have potential adopters meet the animal in person and fill out our adoption application. After reviewing the application, which are processed in the order they are received, as long as everything checks out and is good to go we will reach out to the applicant to either set up an adoption appointment (if the animal of interest is altered and ready to go), ask some clarifying questions if part of the application was unclear, or let you know that the animal is already spoken for. We require that ALL family members meet the animal prior to adoption. Once the kitty or puppy, cat or dog is ready to go- we do an in person adoption where we go over pet care, the history of your new family member, microchip the animal, and help fill out the registration information.
