Laurel's Story

From Hardship to Hearth: Laurel's Journey to Joy

This is a difficult story to tell, a demonstration to one cat's incredible resilience, and yet, it is a narrative tragically familiar to so many others.

Laurel's gentle purr and soft head-nuzzles give little hint to the immense hardship she's overcome. For years, she knew only the overwhelming chaos of an abusive hoarding situation, one of hundreds of cats, constantly bringing new litters into a world of neglect. Her tiny body bore the brunt of this existence, battling severe illness that almost claimed her life, and enduring such unmanaged dental disease that she ultimately lost almost all her teeth.

But Laurel's spirit is truly indomitable. Rescued and given the dedicated care she so desperately needed, she blossomed. Today, this beautiful adult female cat is healthy, thriving, and utterly enchanting. She's remarkably sweet, adores playtime, and seeks out affection with a quiet grace. Her toothless grin, a testament to her past struggles, only adds to her endearing charm.

While all her numerous kittens quickly found loving homes, Laurel, like many wonderful mama cats, continues to wait patiently for a family to call her own. She gets along wonderfully with other cats, dogs, and people of all ages, making her an ideal companion.

She truly is a living testament to resilience, ready to finally know the comfort and love of a true home. She deserves every ounce of happiness she can get, and a patient home that understands she may need time and compassion to adjust after a lifetime of sorrow, because change, even good change, can be hard.

Our Process:
Bringing home a new member of the family is an exciting time. Adopting with Itty Bitty City Kitties is different and unique method of adoption. We believe in what we call the - Fully Supported Adoption Model - Our animals are family when they are fosters with our organization. They are never caged (unless for medical reasons), and are cared for in our homes, socialized, played with, and loved. Animals are fully vetted, vaccinated and sterilized. When they go to their new home, we are available for any texts, calls or questions at any point. We make it our job to make sure your new family fits in puuurrfectly. Once an Itty Kitty, always an Itty Kitty.

Upon adoption we will provide you with their full vet record, as well as the Itty Kitty Kitten Starter Kit. The kit contains a three day supply of all the food they eat, litter materials (for transition at your home), their favorite toys, blankets, and an adoption photo.

If you send us an email - CHECK YOUR SPAM. We reply to ALL emails within 24 hours. Our emails tend to drift, so triple check it's not hiding :)
