Laura & Natalie's Story

Hi! We’re Laura and Natalie — a very pretty tabby/calico sister duo and lifelong best friends. We’re a bonded pair, which means where one of us goes, the other follows. Built-in best friend? Check. Double the cuteness? Also check.

We came from the Macomb trailer park, and these days we’re enjoying the cozy indoor life. We may be a little shy at first, but once we settle in, you’ll start hearing our sweet little chirps when you walk into the room. And when our foster friend Kevin comes to visit? Let’s just say… the chirp volume increases dramatically. We have important things to announce.

We love other cats — especially the nice adult boy cats. They’re our favorite. A home with friendly feline company would make us so happy. We enjoy being part of the cat crew and really thrive with confident kitty friends around.

We’re playful girls who adore toys and will happily entertain ourselves (and you) with our antics. We’re not big fans of being picked up, but we are incredibly sweet and gentle. We show our affection in soft ways — hanging out nearby, chirping hello, playing, and sharing quiet moments once we feel comfortable.

Because we can be a little slow to trust, we’d do best in a calm home with patient, experienced adopters and no small children. Give us a little time, and we promise to fill your home with sweetness, sister snuggles, and the cutest chirpy conversations you’ve ever heard.

Two sisters. One heart. Lots of love to give.

Laura & Natalie are currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting them, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Animal House of South East Michigan, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. Our adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten $195 for a pair of cats or kittens Please note that we do not do same day adoptions and all adoption fees are non-refundable. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We are also flexible if more time is needed to determine if its the right fit. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
