Lachlan's Story

Meet Lachlan! Lachlan has a shy yet goofy and playful personality. While he’s still a little reserved around humans, he’s made wonderful progress in foster care—now greeting me at the door and happily accepting pets and bum rubs, even if he still holds back a little at times. Lachlan loves to play with all kinds of toys and hasn’t chosen a favorite yet—anything that moves or jingles will catch his attention! He can be picked up and held for short periods, but he’s most comfortable keeping all four paws on the ground. He gets along well with other cats introduced into the foster room but is still uncertain about dogs, preferring to run and hide when one comes near. Lachlan is bonded with his brother, Malcolm, and we’d love for them to find their forever home together. They make a wonderful, entertaining pair and will bring lots of joy to a patient and loving home. Spencerville TNR's Adoption Policy

Potential adopter fill out an application. Once they have applied, our adoption coordinator will reach out and first screen. Once they pass the screening process, they will put into contact with the foster. The foster will answer any questions the potential adopters have about the cat. If the adoption coordinator who is included on all interactions between the foster and potential adopter believes it is a good match, they potential adopter will fill out the contract, pay the adoption fee and arrange a time to pick up the at the fosters home or cattery depending on the situation.

Our Mandate is to fund and promote sterilization of stray and barn cats as a means to humanely reduce the overpopulation of cats in Spencerville and surrounding areas.
