Kuro's Story

Meet kitten Kuro (Kuro is "black" in Japanese)! Kuro is an approximately four-month-old and five-pounds kitten who was brought into the rescue after being found as a stray at the workplace of one of our volunteers. Kuro was semi-feral when he came to the shelter, but is working daily on his people socialization. He's warming up nicely and will now allow gentle pets. He has even started closing his eyes when we pet him; a sign that he is starting to trust us! Kuro loves kitty treats, especially Churu and they are a great way to introduce yourself to him before going in for a pet. Kuro is social with the other cats in his room and may get along with your feline friends at home too. If you're interested in getting to know Kuro, please email chitownrescue@gmail.com for a meet and greet appointment. Kuro's adoption fee includes neuter surgery, vaccinations, and microchip.
