Meet Kricket

Kricket, Kricket! She is a wild-heart who’s settled into being at home with humans. This girl is living with gusto the life of three squares, ear scratches, and a couch or window perch. She is used to being picked up (at least by her foster mom) and is very loving and calm.

Kricket takes some time to be sure you’ve earned her trust, and then will be a loving, yet independent addition to your family. She cried terribly when her foster sister, Daisy, was away at a meet-and-greet, so we know she'll want to be around you and her furry siblings, even though she doesn't have to be with you at all times.

In between naps in the sun, she plays with glee and sometimes forgets you're not also a kitten. Some play with wands, lasers, and other toys gets Kricket settled down in short order. It's taken us a while to offer her for adoption, because she doesn't take quickly to strangers, but with love and patience, you'll win her over!

Kricket came from a neighborhood in Virginia Beach where she was born outdoors and to be returned to her community. While recovering from her spay surgery (and about to be returned), we discovered that she was well on her way to being socialized to live indoors.

It's important to set reasonable expectations when bringing any new cat home. We offer the Rule of Threes.
> 3 Days: To decompress
> 3 Weeks: To get familiar with your house and its routines
> 3 Months: To settle in and feel like they're home
