Kovu's Story

Meet Kovu!
Born April 22, 2026, Kovu is a sweet little guy who is learning that the world—and especially people—can be pretty wonderful.
Kovu is still a little shy and skittish, but he’s making progress every day and becoming more social as his confidence grows. Once he feels comfortable, he has discovered that laps are a pretty great place to be! He enjoys snuggles and pets... provided they’re on his terms, of course.
When he’s not busy soaking up lap time, Kovu is a playful little guy who especially loves playing and wrestling with his feline friends. Having another playful kitty around would be a huge bonus for this sweet boy.
Kovu may need a little patience while he gets to know you, but watching him come out of his shell is incredibly rewarding.
If you’re looking for a gentle, playful boy who just needs a little time, patience, and love to blossom, Kovu might be your perfect match!

Kovu is neutered, microchipped, FVRCP vaccinated, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

!!! It is the policy of Desert Paws Rescue that all potential cat adopters complete a Cat Adoption Consultation Form and an interview with a Desert Paws representative in order to be considered as a forever home for our cats and kittens. Completion of the application and interview process does not guarantee an adoption approval or guarantee the adoption of a particular cat or kitten. Desert Paws Rescue is a privately run, all-volunteer, non-profit organization and reserves the right to refuse any adoption that is not in the best interest of the cat or kitten, based on our principles, policies, and standards. Desert Paws Rescue will determine the best home for each cat or kitten based on the application and interview process. After review of the adoption consultation form and the completion of the interview with a Desert Paws representative, Desert Paws Rescue may recommend a different cat or kitten that is more suitable to your household.
