Kovidar - Name Your Own Adoption Fee!'s Story

- 3 years old (estimated)
- Neutered male
- Has done well with other cats in the shelter as long as he's separated at mealtimes
- No known experience with dogs or children
- Has tested positive for FIV*

Kovidar may have a permanently sad expression, but don’t let that fool you, this handsome guy is full of love and happiest when he’s soaking up attention from his people. He’s laid back, friendly, and social, always happy to accept pets and head scratches, and he’ll gladly curl up with you for a cozy nap.

He’s done well with other cats in the shelter, though he is very food-obessessed so he does best when he's separated at mealtimes to keep things peaceful. With his easygoing nature and affectionate personality, Kovidar will be a charming, loving companion who brings comfort and companionship to his new home.

*Kovidar has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). It is not contagious to people or other species of pets. It is passed from cat to cat by deep bite wounds (like those inflicted during serious fights), blood transfusions, and rarely from mother cats to their kittens. Studies have shown that spayed/neutered and cat-friendly FIV+ cats can live with FIV- cats without risk of transmission. FIV suppresses the cat's immune system which makes it easier for them to get sick and harder for them to fight off sickness. When kept as well-cared for indoor pets, FIV+ cats often lead normal, healthy lives.

Kovidar has been waiting a while to find his family so his adopter can name their own adoption fee when they take him home!
